The recession ended 15 months ago?
Here is an analysis that says we are recovering faster than the after the Bush recession–interesting at the very least.
“Happy days are here again” – the recession ended four months after the stimulus was enacted. the 2001 Bush recession ended five months after his tax cut was enacted.
So, because of those short timeframes, maybe we should agree that neither policy “ended the recession”

– the recession ended 15 months ago – it was the longest and deepest recession since the Great Depression
– the 2001 Bush recession was one of the shortest and shallowest on record

– number of private sector jobs lost since the end of this recession: 205,000
– number of private sector jobs lost 15 months after end of 2001 Bush recession: 935,000
– months after end of this recession before private sector jobs were positive at least two months straight: 8
– months after end of 2001 Bush recession before private sector jobs were positive at least two months straight: 22
– change in unemployment rate 15 months after this recession ended: up 0.1 percentage point
– change in unemployment rate 15 months after 2001 Bush recession ended: up 0.3 percentage point
